"Hang 'Em High" was the Season 8 finale. Dutch returns to the United States after a year in Latin America to produce evidence that will incriminate corrupt Texas Governor MacGill Crawford in a drug-running scheme first revealed in Season 7's The Colombian Connection.
Dillon, who was presumed dead after the events of Season 8 episode Arm Wrestle, comes out of hiding to help Dutch make his case.
This episode marked the final appearance of Powers Boothe as MacGill Crawford.
